Khafre, the fourth king of the 4th
Dynasty, was the son of Khufu. He married his half-sister Khamernebeti
I. Some believe that he constructed the Second
Pyramid and the Great Sphinx at Giza. A wonderful statue of Khafre under
the protective shadow of a falcon (Horus) is in the Cairo Museum
