King Lists

In each section, most of the Dynasties and their given dates are generally based upon the “orthodox chronology”. Where possible I have included at least one known cartouche for each pharaoh. The lists for the Second Intermediate Period is heavily influenced by David Rohl's New Chronology.

There is much debate about the accuracy of the orthodox dates of reigns in Ancient Egypt and for an interesting and compelling exploration of this see A Test of Time by David Rohl.
